Grizzly Science #2: Unlikely Friends (Ch. 10)

Author's Note: Thank you to deathklat for helping with the 'shower scene', and to my friend Bill for helping me finish off the chapter when I was feeling slightly stuck. :) Warning: A bit more sexual situations, but mainly plot. Chapter 10 Grant's eyes twinkled with amusement as he grabbed Vince in a rough hug, then loosened his grasp. He grinned cheekily. "Relax, boy. I'm teasing you... Mostly. C'mon, let's get in the shower, and get cleaned up." Grant nestled his arm around Vince's shoulders and led both of them into the bathroom. "Okay - Get the shower started -- I'll get some towels." Vince nodded, then fiddled with the shower controls until the water was several shades below scalding. He stepped inside and let the water sluice down over him, with a pleasured sigh. He'd never get enough of hot showers, and had sorely missed them. He closed his eyes and let the water run down his back, when the shower door opened....

Grizzly Science #2: Unlikely Friends (Ch. 9)

Chapter 9 Vince was idly fingering Grant's stomach fur, and feeling supremely comfortable. He had listened in amazement to the big bear's story on meeting Brent. No wonder Grant seemed to be insatiable -- it was the nanites that were running around inside his body. "And I wondered how you had so much stamina... despite...er, well, your age." Grant chuckled mischievously, and turned to put his cigar out in the ashtray on the nightstand. "Well, I probably could keep up even without these things inside me, given the shape I'm in..." He turned back then gently rubbed Vince's hand; he then pushed it lower onto his crotch and growled. "Rub it."

Grizzly Science #2: Unlikely Friends (Ch. 5)

Chapter 5 Warning: More Sexual Situations up ahead… Grant dimly realized he was dreaming. Again. He crouched on all fours, sniffing the air. He darted his eyes around the clearing he was in, ringed by tall trees. Part of him realized that the place he was in was different. The other part -- the instinctual part sniffed for something familiar. A familiar scent edged with muskiness caught his nose, and he bounded with excitement toward it. It had a strange flavor to it but it held his nose like a magnet. After what seemed like endless running, he skidded to a stop when the trees around him thinned in front of a creek.

Grizzly Science #2: Unlikely Friends (Ch. 3)

Warning: Explicit Sexual Situations ahead. Chapter 3 After Grant started the washer, he went to the kitchen, and started warming up Brent's share of the takeout he had bought before. Brent waited for Vince to come out of the bedroom, while sitting on a plush chair to the right of the bed-couch. He wanted to hear Vince's story for himself. He only had gotten snippets from Grant and it wasn't enough to convince him... yet. Vince came walking out of the bedroom, feeling rather timid. He wasn't used to wearing pajamas in front of virtual strangers, and preferred to sleep nude.

Grizzly Science #2: Unlikely Friends (Ch. 2)

Chapter 2 In between bites, Grant managed to get the whole story out from Vince. Vince had spoken of his parents who were loving and caring, and then cold and distant the moment he had come out to them several months ago. He had lost his job and apartment the week later -- due to a rumor that he slept with men.

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 14)

Author's Note: Sorry for not updating last Sunday – I'm gonna make up for it by posting two chapters tonight. Btw, Big THANK YOU to Kindar for his help! :) I really do appreciate you looking over my stuff. Chapter 14 Brenda was pulling out various groceries from several paper bags, and setting them onto the counter when Logan strode into the kitchen. She looked at him with a little smile. "Hey. He's still conked out?" Logan shrugged, and leaned against the counter. The last thing he wanted for Brenda to feel was his frustration, and he thought he was doing enough to suppress it. "Yeah. Still snoring."

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 13)

Author's Note: I could have sworn I posted it last night! Apologies to everyone who was expecting a new chapter then. Big thanks to deathklat and Kindar for his help with suggestions, beta-reading and the like. Chapter 13 Logan stood stupefied at the empty bed. Where the hell was Tad? Did I do something wrong? I was just teasing him... How did I scare him? I thought he was starting to relax with me... Logan flinched as a loud rapping came from the door, and Brenda's voice call out sharply. "Let me in!" He hurried to unlock and open the door to see her run in breathlessly.   Brenda caught her breath, took one look around, and ground her teeth in frustration. "Dammit. Logan -- you're coming with me. I know where he's gone." She made a beeline for Tad's pants, then dug out his keys and wallet. "I know where he's going."

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 9)

Author's Note: Big Thanks to Kindar for helping clean this up! :) Chapter 9 Tad had sat in the Ethics class quietly listening to the class discuss a particular ethical dilemma for the last twenty minutes. To his surprise it actually hadn't been that boring to listen to this time. The Professor studied the group for a moment before speaking. "This may be a silly question, but what did any of you want to do when you grew up before you became a mutant?" He continued after a pause. "What were your hopes and dreams?" Three students shifted uncomfortably in silent embarrassment.

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 5)

Author's Note: Thanks to Kindar for his ever continuing help! Chapter 5 Ororo and Tad were in the kitchen, conversing in quiet voices. They had a frozen pizza baking in the oven, as Brenda wandered into the kitchen, led by her nose. Her tone was a mocking scorn, even though her eyes were twinkling with amusement. "Pizza? After the work I went to making your lunch!" Ororo chuckled, teasing Brenda by rolling her eyes. "Oh, just sit down. I just thought I'd take pity on him and make something simple -- my cooking is passable enough, but I don't feel like doing any tonight." Tad shrugged. They were feeding him -- at least it wasn't gourmet food, then he might feel a smidgen of guilt. Brenda glanced at him, but said nothing.

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 4)

Author's Note: Continued thanks to Kindar for his help! :) Chapter 4 Minutes crept by in silence as he tried to put his attraction to Logan out of his mind. Chances were that Logan wasn't interested anyways. He rubbed his forehead in an attempt to force his thoughts to another subject -- Ororo, who had showed up at his door. She was a very nice lady, and probably a mutant, but he wondered what her 'powers' were. "Um, what can she do? Ororo? She's a mutant too, right?" Brenda shook herself out of her thoughts. "Oh yeah, she is. She can kinda control weather -- call up winds, lightning, fog, etc." Tad stared at her. The thought of a nice lady like her controlling all that made him a little uncomfortable but he supposed he could see the positive side of it. "Bet it makes for nice sunny days on picnics." Brenda chuckled wryly. "...Something like that."

X-men: Mutant Awakening (Ch. 3)

Author Note: BIG THANKS to deathklat for his assistance regarding 'certain' matters involving our beloved Logan :D And more thanks for Kindar for his critiques and suggestions.  Warning: Implicit Sexual situations in this chapter.  Chapter 3 Tad was livid to think that just because one mutant professed they didn't pry without permission, here was another one who apparently didn't follow the same rules... Brenda visibly winced at the onslaught coming from Tad. She squeezed her eyes shut as she hastily erected the mental shield, just as the Professor had taught her. The waves of anger beat against them, but now she was able to think again. She rubbed her temples, and glanced up at Tad with an apologetic expression. With a grimace, she sighed. "I didn't read your mind. It wasn't exactly hard to pick up your emotions."

Grizzly Science - Ch. 11

Chapter 11 Brent awoke gradually, not recognizing the place immediately. The first thing he registered was large furry arms were encircled around his chest. His mind was still fuzzy from sleepiness, and warm memories of the night washed over him. He faintly recalled sleeping with Grant, and his mind leaped into full awareness. Ordinarily he'd scramble out of bed realizing he'd done something horribly wrong, but this time -- he felt perfectly safe. There was a strange rightness about all of this. He never wanted to budge from this spot. He let Grant's heat seep into his body, warming his entire being. He felt the urge to piss. He mentally scowled in irritation. His bladder just had to pick this time to complain.

Grizzly Science - Ch. 9

Chapter 9 Grant suddenly broke his grip, facing away from Brent, and feeling dread well up inside him. "Oh. Umm... what colors?" Brent cocked his head slightly to his right, with a curious expression. "Um...a very nice golden rim around the outside edge of your iris of both eyes, and when they change -- your irises change to a sort of blueish gold." He stepped closer, reaching out with his hand. "Why? What's wrong?"

Grizzly Science - Ch. 6

Chapter 6 Halfway home, his doubts began to manifest in his mind, as he tapped against the steering wheel at a stop light. Did he really do the right thing? Were these nanites supposed to help him? It was one thing to see the nanites being injected into his IV tube, and another thing to know that they were actually *inside* him. So far, he hadn't witnessed any miraculous changes, but Brent had mentioned it took up to two hours for it to be apparent.

Grizzly Science - Ch. 4

Yay: I've figured out how to do the scheduling of my posts, so they should be posted on time from now on... :) Enjoy the story! -Del'an/Gryphbear Chapter 4 Once out of the hospital, He waited on a bench outside the hospital doors for a cab. Sitting there, he pulled out the card, and studied it. Shock filled his face at the realization that the appointment was later that day -- at two p.m. And it was pushing fifteen minutes before nine a.m.
